For the most part I think the art is really good. Nice to see them getting away from the "dungeon punk" style of art.

ughh...I don't like Dungeon-Punk either, but this stuff is like some the really cheesy art they've been putting in recent Realms products.

It certainly doesn't say "Dragonlance" to me.

Some of that art is really ugly. And the pic they have of the dragonlance doesn't look like a dragonlance at all. It looks like they used a lot of the artists that I dislike.

Well... I can't imagine Larry can do ALL the art, that would get really expensive.

The Dragons pic are ugly. They have totally forgotten that D&D Dragon Illo = Todd Lockwood.

Other than that, I don't know the universe well enough to comment. Is Alhana Starbreeze a halfling (oops, kender) ? She looks like one. Aren't the "Orge races" rather "ogre races" ? Don't you find the Dark Tower quite Freudian ? And why that stupid name of "shadowperson" ? Was it there before or is it another example of PCfication ? Shadowfolk would have sounded less gaudy while staying PC...

100% agreement. I'm sorry, but those dragon pics are not good in most cases. One gets the impression that their heads must weight too much, as tired as they look with their heads hanging to the ground. That is, in those cases where their necks are long enough to even reach the ground. The black and the bronze dragon are more or less acceptle, maybe even the gold, but the rest...

I reall y like most of the art. Lord Ausric and the Surface Elves are certainly my favorite -- who drew them?

Alhana is really a Silvanesti elf (and a very beautiful one at that).

I have to say that I find the art mostly dreadful.

At least they knew to draw the female dwarf without a beard and the minotaurs have both hooves and feet (that is, some have hooves and some feet).

for the most part i was pretty satisfied with a lot of the art, save in the middle of the page where the person who did all the holy symbols and stuff kinda messed it up.
