Dragonlance Me

A good "non-core" book, that I really enjoyed was Huma by Richard Knaack (sp).

More accurately, that's "Dragonlance Heroes, Volume 1 - The Legend of Huma", by Richard A. Knaak. It is worth a read, after you've gone through at least the first original trilogy.

I was pretty happy with the first two trilogies (Chronicles and Legends). I only made it through the first book of the War of Souls trilogy before throwing up my hands in protest, though. You can only put up with the same hackneyed plot devices so many times. That and the "What? They've blown up the world twice since the end of Chronicles?" kind of ruined it for me ...

Thanks for the correction, Umbran. I knew there was more to the title, but couldn't remember right off the top of my head. (It's been a few years..)
