They apparently did something similar or what not like that in one of the youtube/dndbeyond clips previewing Shadows of the Dragon Queen. Many of us have been asking for a sidebar that acknowledges the fact that previous versions of the setting had character restrictions and/or a different setting history than what they're currently publishing. The cleric issue, for example.
Yeah, I know. I want it in the book. Promotional materials a tiny percentage of your audience are going to see is, IMO, a poor way to convey this sort of thing. They apparently did something similar or what not like that in one of the youtube/dndbeyond clips previewing Shadows of the Dragon Queen.
That has nothing to do with a "reimagining". IMO, a reimagining would mean wholesale changing established law. Not mentioning something isn't changing something - in fact it's going out of the way to NOT change it.Many of us have been asking for a sidebar that acknowledges the fact that previous versions of the setting had character restrictions and/or a different setting history than what they're currently publishing. omg this tripples the chance I am buying it first week of decYou're all going to be mad but, at first glance, I'm not seeing any alignment restrictions for the High Sorcery background options. There is intent though. Each of the orders have descriptions that clearly align to good/neutral/evil, but no mechanical requirement. I plan to work on that video tomorrow.
amazing I love it
