Nope. Concieved during the five years between when the companions broke up to search for signs of the gods and the start of Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Actualy, more specificly, during some of the first year or so before the two of them split up.

Kitiara thought it would be fun seducing the young knight to see if he would drop from his lofty perch. The pregnancy was of course, more than she had bargained for, so she had some woman adopt the child. She sent money every now and then.

You know, for a paladin, Sturm really did have a way with the ladies.

I thought the Chaos wars book was kind of cool. I really liked the bit where the gods decide to give control to Takhisis, because they felt that the relentless fist of evil would make a better unifying force against chaos than good would ever be able to muster. Basically implying that "lawful evil" makes the best armies.

But Sturm was never a paladin, and he was only briefly a Knight of Solamnia. And Lord Soth already set precedence for the seductive abilities of the Knights. . .

Raistlin did come back in Dragons of Summer Flame, which I think you missed. Dragons of Summer Flame takes place about 20-25 years (sorry, not a timeline geek ;)) after the War of the Twins. The first book of the War of Souls takes place about 20-25 years after that.

About Tanis........

Beware of Spoiler!

The way he dies..... ah God what a load of crap. I asked Mr. Hickman at GenCon what was up with that he said it was kind of a homage to Vietnam in the fact that not all heros die spectacularly IE fighting a Dragon etc.... some are just standing there one sec then next they are dead.... I personally thought it sucked.....

Then I asked him who would win in a fight Raist or Elmin.... he said Elmin and Greenwood agreed =P Damn GenCon is fun!
