Dragonlance - War of the Lance and Tower of High Sorcery

First Post
I was wondering if any Dragonlnacers could chime in on the state of these products.

Last I heard, Tower was delayed and War of the Lance was set for August.

Anyone heard any different?

Just planning out my purchases...

Thanks.

Trampas Whiteman of Sovereign Press has mentioned over in this thread that the unofficial release date for Towers of High Sorcery will be Origins, and that the War of the Lance sourcebook will be released at GenCon this year.

I don't think Trampas is employed by SovPress. He is the webmaster at dragonlance.com, but that's more of an arangement of conveniance (he also runs dl3e.com, which is essencially obsolete now with all of its material and more on dragonlance.com) because dl3e.com used to hold the rights to produce official material (it was a fan-site arrangement when Dragonlance was officially dead, and lasted until the rights to DL gaming was licenced to Sovereign Press).

Trampas has done freelance work for SovPress, however, and his name is credited in at least one sourcebook.

Hmm, I met him at GenCon, where he was behind the counter at the Sovereign Press booth. I could be mistaken though. Either way, he's a very reliable source on DL.

Trampas, like myself, contributes work as a freelance writer for Sovereign Press and is involved in reviewing and playtesting Sovereign Press products. He's enjoyed a good relationship with Sovereign Press over the past few years as Co-Chairman of the Whitestone Council, the group of fans who helmed the Dragonlance Nexus when it was the official Dragonlance fan website. He's now also adapting the New York Times bestselling Dragonlance novel, The Legend of Huma as a comic book title for DBPro and continues to post regularly on various Dragonlance-related message boards, listservs and forums.

So no, he's not an employee of Sovereign Press, but he's a very reliable source.

Cheers,
Cam

Which is very good thus far I might add, I've been enjoying the title a lot.
