"mps42-FYI-I do chainmail.....and in the process of learning scalemail and ringmail....
The armor looks fine...looks more like scale, since scale can be very small, if too big, it would not move very well, like plate armor....
and chainmail and small plate can inter-mingle, but that is done more in the oriental armor way back when....
chainmail can be micro small and go up to each of the rings being up to 1 inch in size.
It could actually pass as dragonscale chainmail, which is very heavy, but very cool looking and layered just like a dragonscale*hence the name, lol...and just so you know, it's extremely costly to make cause it's a big pain!"
Ya know what? I just met a guy at work who makes some *TINY* chainmail. He showed me about a 3" square of "Dragonscale" chainmail and, from a distance, it looks quite a bit like what is in that first b/w drawing.
So, like I said, completely ignore everything I said. Except for the bit about Magius, he definitly looks better WITH the beard. He just looks too thin without it.
