Pathfinder 1E Dragonmech Pathfinder Conversion

Love of Awesome

First Post
Hello peoples!

I have been wanting to run a Dmech campaign for a long time now, but could never find a group. Will i'm hoping to find a group on a pbp site or something. I have also gotten a copy of the Pathfinder core rules. I don't know how will these two work together. The first thing i'm wondering about is mechs, but i don't really know where to begin.

Also i was interested in running this with E6, but that's a different story.

Thanks in advance!

Forawesomessake, are you asking for help in converting the mechs? Or just advice on where to begin?

Sorry, should've made that clearer. This is my first time doing a conversion of a setting that presents so many new rules. I've seen work done on Iron Kingdoms, but not so much Dragonmech. So yes i'm asking where to start. Do i start with classes that are unique to the setting, or do i start with the mechs. Also lets just say i'm not on the mechanics end of the rpg spectrum.

Personally, I would start with

1) The things you think to be most interesting and
2) The things you think will be most useful in the short term.

Converting classes is pretty easy. Adjust the HD according to the BAB progression and add in any powers, abilities and feats necessary to make the class on par with PFRPG classes. The easiest way to do this is to give class bonus feats to fill in dead levels, but there might be some powers or abilities you can also add in. Then, for 20th level, make sure each class has a cool power.

I haven't looked at the mech rules for a while so I couldn't tell you how easy or hard fixing them would be. I can't imagine however that they would need much to make them fully compatible. D20 is, afterall, D20.

The main thing is to make sure that you are enjoying the work, thus again, focus first on the things you find most interesting.
