Are you going to Dragonmeet tomorrow?

I'm a 'gopher' so I'll be there from before they open until after they close.

I'll be there working on the trade stand for my FLGS Gamers. If anyone drops buy just ask for Big Colin. :)

Say, DragonLancer, you know that store you mentioned in St. Neots? Do they run games over weekends for people just visiting? Are there other gamers that play there?

We do often have people over at weekends to play, though currently with Christmas on the way the numbers have dropped off a little. Also we run regular CCG tournaments on Sundays - we have a Limited Hecatomb (was meant to be pre-release for the current set) tournament tomorrow (Sunday) and a Racer Knights tournament the Sunday after. We also run Call of Cthulhu CCG and VTES tournaments as well.

During the Christmas week this year the shop is open for gaming everyday, though it'll be more board game and CCG, rather than roleplaying.

Roleplaying night is Thursdays until ten.

If you need directions, you can find them on our website: http://www.gamers.uk.net

I was interested in a one-off or perhaps two or three session 3.5e game D&D roleplaying. Is Thursday it? What time does it start? How does it work?

Thursday evening is the adult evening so no kids playing Duelmasters and the like. We have a couple games that alternate every other week... one is a Call of Cthulhu: Dark Ages, and the other is either Weird Wars or Judge Dredd (I forget right now as the chap who runs these has been busy with work the last few weeks). Theres also a chap who runs filler games on an evening when regualr GM's can't make it, and he either runs a Vampire: Requiem (humourous rather than mordibly depressive) or Star Wars D20.

Theres always extra folks in and around playing board games or CCG's, or waiting to see if someone is running. So if your looking to run a couple session D&D game I'm sure we would have players to brave it, or if you are looking for a game I'm sure we can drop you in somewhere.

As for Dragonmeet, I was stuck behind the sales for most of the day so I didn't get a chance to join any games, but I was fortunate enough to meet Zander when he dropped by the stall. It was good to meet you and put a face to the name. :)

DragonLancer,

It was good to meet you too. ;) The LotR dice and painted minis set (Troll, Aragorn, Gimli & Legolas) are great as was the 50% off price.

diaglo & Pinotage,

The con was pretty cool. I helped the traders set up in the morning. After the doors opened, I played 3.5 for a few hours. The DM was a US serviceman based in the UK. A very charismatic guy. In the afternoon, I hit the trade stands where I spent too much. :heh: The trade hall was better than UK GenCon's at Butlin's but not as good as GenCon at Olympia. The day ended with an auction in aid of charities for the treatment and care of kids with cancer. I think the auction raised a few hundred pounds - maybe a thousand. All in all, a good con.
