Dragons of Faerun

Do the dragons include the ones detailed in the old Wyrms of the North column in Dragon?

Some of those are updated significantly based on events that occurred after those were published, but the rest are described in brief paragrapsh in a section of the first chapter.

The Purple Dragon Knights of Cormyr are so named for the Forest Kingdom's alternate title, "The Land of the Purple Dragon." As revealed in Cormyr: A Novel ... SPOILERS ... THE purple dragon for which the land was named was a black dragon of such great age that his scales acquired a purplish tint. That dragon was driven out and slain by members of House Obareskyr over the course of a millennium.

Ok, so the (good) Purple Dragon Knights of Cormyr are named after an (evil) Great Wyrm + Black Dragon. :p

From what I understand no it doesn't. Which is good cause they're all available for free on the WotC website.

It includes a few of them, but not all. Conversely, because I might have either missed, or forgotten a few of those Wyrms of the North articles, I'm not sure whether there are any dragons in the book that *aren't* from those old articles.

Indirectly. They are named after the symbol of the royal house of Cormyr, which is a purple dragon because of the aformentioned slaying.

Quite a number of them are not from that series. Antasillix, Arsekaslyx, Buchembrallor, Protanther, Nartheling, off the top of my head (without the book in front of me), but there are others as well.

Eytan,

So I take it good ole Creeping Doom, Dragulath(sp), isn't mentioned either huh?
Daurgothoth.

Seems to me he's got enough detail by now, given that he's covered in Wyrms of the North, the 2e Cult of the Dragon supplement, *and* the Waterdeep: City of Splendors web enhancement.
