I have to say, looking at OSRIC 3.0 and Dragonslayer side by side has made me appreciate this rule set all the more. Not a fan of percentile strength, weapon nonspecializing, and overly complex spell descriptions to just name a few.
Not sure why both dislike Bards though, they're one of my favorite classes. Especially as a DM since I get to impart more of my campaign lore while also making that particular player feel useful.
