[Dragonstar] Camouflage & Gilly Suits

Body armour with a camouflage pattern gives you a +2 on Hide checks. What would the bonus for weraing a gilly suit be? Just double it to +4? Or would Invisibility spells be so common to make a gilly suit redundant?

I don't think they would be redundant. Especially since one could have sensors magicked with Detect Invisibility and Detect Magic options. You could have a situation where a good old fashioned Stealthy Sneaky type could sneak in where a magicked up rouge would fail.

I had a trap like that in an old 1E campaign.

A hallway with chains hanging from the ceiling. One set every foot, both side to side and the length of the hallway. They would animate in the presence of magic. All the PC's had to do to get down the hallway was take off all of their magic items. This being a high level group, that didn't happen. They fought their way down that hallway for like two hours in real time. They hated me when I finally told them the gimmick later.
