I don't have FFG's Myth Races book, so the stuff was new to me. The living Ioun Stone people seemed to have a cool culture, a really cool picture and seemed to have a slew of rules on how its detached limbs are hampered (sometimes permently) by anti-magic stuff.
I also remember that the motto of Dragonstar was "if it breaks the rules of science, it must be magic," so I found those rules to make sense.
The only bad news is that in most places I have played, the GMs would never allow such cool races. My only way to see such a critter in action would be to talk one of my players to use it.
