If person is wearing high tech devices such as powered armour or energy weapons do those items get included in a polymorphed form? Would this be a really easy way to smuggle well armed and armoured troops into secured areas?

All you have to ask yourself is "does this happen with normal/magical armor in core D&D?"

I'd say it would probably work...

However, a really well secured area would probably include some sort of "metal detector" for magic. Possibly a Lense of True Seeing or similar installed in a video camera, hooked to a monitor.
