is it out yet? I want it now!

My thoughts: Thank god someone is doing something with DS. The books are great and the material is top notch. It's just that I am feeling left out without more and more material for the setting. Raw Recrutis will (hopefully) fill that void of material that is needed for DS.

I am looking forward to picking it up and running it with my gaming crew.

Thanks Leopold, I think you will not be dissapointed. One of the reasons we created such a big first book was due to the fact fans were screaming for much more stuff for the setting. We are going to alternate from a large (128-160) page book to a smaller 64-72 page book with one or the other coming out as often as we can.

I love Dragonstar and the previews look great. What kinds of materials do you have planned besides adventures? ANy new worlds or starcraft books? What about a races of Dragonstar book?

well seeing as how there is NO DS material and if y'all put out 2-3 DS books a year in the future you will be getting 2-3 more books sold per year by me. DS is an untapped resource that is a damn shame noone realizes it.

Y'all have a lock on the market right now and since THG and MEG combine you have the only 2 resources that DS fans want...hope you capitalize on it nad keep churing out more!!

The previews look great! I am soooo looking forward to really starting up a DS campaign. As a DM, I really enjoy running, but don't have the time to fully flesh out my own campaign setting and adventures. I run a Greyhawk campaign now, and only once in a year of weekly play have I had the time to custom develop an adventure.

The lack of published adventures has been the only thing holding me back from running a DS game. For now, I have been getting by with running Living Dragonstar for a bunch of my players and at the monthly GameDays we run here on Long Island.

I eagerly await both (and all future) books publication.

I also think that a (quarterly? bi-monthly?) periodical of DS adventures (ala Dungeon) would be great too.

Unfortunately, Jason, I think only adventures are under the licensing agreement between MEG and FFG. Although these books would be a cool thing to see, I think we've gotta look to Fantasy Flight. There are a few new tidbits in Raw Recruits like items, races, planets, monsters, etc. that can be extracted for personal campaign use. So you get a little supplemental material snuck into the adventures, just like most of them have these days.

Napftor is correct. We are licensed for adventure material only. However, we always like to give some source material that is generally valuable. So while you may ont see an entire volume of say, spacecrafts, you will see detailed spacecrafts in our material that could easily be transplanted even though we designed it as part of the adventure.

And Sam, if that is all that is holding you back you will have months of adventure resources in Raw Recruits (depending on how often you meet to play). This 160 volume should last you some time and it gives you a strong backdrop for future adventures.
