Only hot tea should be bitter. Cold AND bitter beverages simply don't get consumed. Unless, I suppose, they're alcoholic.

Unsweetened iced tea is very refreshing. Sweetened iced tea makes me want to vomit.

I disagree about Splenda. It tastes exactly like real sugar. I use it in all my baking and no one can tell the difference.
