Well, the... uh, race coordinator guy did say in his phone conversation that Babymama had come in last again. That doesn't make sense if it was really the first leg of the race, unless she's been in it before.

My question was referring to the "conspiracy" people working for the race coordinators - the truck driver, the guy with the flash drive, the diner waitress, the highway patrolman etc. I was thinking putting previous entrants on the payroll might be a way of keeping them quiet about the race - or they still are holding something on these people, forcing them to work for the race coordinators.

I missed the "again" comment for Babymama (Wendy Patrakas for those having trouble remembering the names). Somehow I don't have the feeling they let losers from previous years enter the race again, but perhaps I'm wrong.

I don't have an issue with all of the "plants", since they are moving along a predetermined path.

Also, the Space Center footage does at least look like it was done on location in Florida (was just there a few months ago myself.)

It is definitely "popcorn" television, but good popcorn.

I wasn't aware Fox was showing it on Monday up there... or for that matter, you guys even got Fox unless you were near the border. It's showing on CTV on Fridays, right?

Ah, we get all the US main networks on even basic cable (as well as most of the US specialty and HD channels on digital) up here.

Correct with CTV! We watched the 2 hour premier of Drive on Friday, and it looks like that's when it will continue to air, but we also have the option of watching it on Fox as well.

I skipped the Monday episode due to being busy and plan to watch it on Friday, but I did happen to catch the first bit of it - and (if you're talking about what I think you're talking about) your criticism is completely valid. I groaned and thought "if that cop is part of the conspiracy, then that's just stupid".

(Hopefully I don't know what I'm talking about, since that's as far as I got. But hell, it was getting kind of silly even by the end of the first 2 hours...)

Unfortunately, the ratings have been terrible.

If it ends up canceled, I can at least hold out hope for a DVD set of the complete series.

They have only prepared for 13 episodes this year, and Minear said it will probably take another 13 episodes to finish the story. If it gets cancelled soon, we'll only get half a series on DVD, unless someone comes along with the money to film the rest.

I really hope that it doesn't get cancelled. I would really like to see how this ends.

I'm enjoying but I can see it potentially getting worse or better. Luckily, the main mystery seems not much of a mystery so if it never gets revealed I won't really care that much.

If we are comparing this to Lost and Heroes (why not, it's fun!) I will put the first 3 hours way ahead of Heroes and far behind Lost.

Lost's first few hours were some of the best TV for a new series ever. Heroes was only watchable because I liked the premise. This falls in-between the two. I adore Fillion & Minear's work which got me watching. It was a little choppy at first with flashes of damn cool. That works for me.

The hour certainly does fly by. I *heart* The Wheelman.

It's funny how many old Whedon-show actors were brought along (I assume thanks to Tim Minear?). I particularly enjoy seeing the actor of the Bounty Hunter in the final Firefly episode again (but what's his name - the Internet knows), and Amy Acker wasn't bad, either.

So far, it has been fun watching the show. I just hope we get to see to the end

Another very entertaining episode. It is not the best TV out there but it's still enjoyable.
