DriveThruRPG web address changed?

Okay, forgive my 'net-paranoia, but:

As of a week or so ago, when I go to www.drivethrurpg.com, it gets redirected to http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/catalog/index.php. The paranoid question: is that the new, legitimate, address of DTRPG, or has someone hacked the site to redirect it to somewhere else? Anyone know?

It seems unlikely, but White Wolf got hacked a while back, so . . .

(The "Contact Us" page is only a web form; anything sent through that goes to who-knows-where, so if it were a scam, the form would be no use. Also, their message boards have been "currently unavailable" for several days.)

I haven't been to DTRPG in a while, but the www.drivethrurpg.com address isn't even redirecting now; just giving what looks like a broken page of companies. Weird.

Tested it again. Their news sections says they redid things on May 5th, so maybe that has something to do with it, but I doubt it since it didn't mess mine up. Like I mentioned before, I've been using this bookmark for over a year, maybe even two.

This is what I have been using for over a year, I just tried it out, and it worked just fine for me.

Did you clear out your cache and try? I also got forwarded to that new address when I put the www in front. If I don't inlucde the www, I don't get autoforwarded.

A few days ago their home page said they were redoing some domain info, so the new domain name is legit. If you get an error page instead of the new domain, your DNS may not have the redirection updated yet. Sometimes I get an error message, but hitting Refresh gets me back to the new page. http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com is their home page now.

Doing a WHOIS search on it, it seems a little strange.

drivethrurpg.com and drivethrustuff.com are listed as different addresses, but then again drivethrurpg.com seems to use network solutions as the listed contact for the domain.

Of course, the real interesting note is the META keyworks set for the domain include rpgnow. Legal, likely. Cool, not so much.

No Paranoia Required

Changes we are making to DriveThru (which we certainly hope everyone will enjoy when they go live later this week or next) have required us to change the URLs you see on site. Alll prior links should redirect you to the new URLs correctly (if not, please give us a shout).

Net paranoia understood, but there's no cause for alarm here. We'll update our home page message to be clearer on this. Thanks.

Drivethru is now selling books, novels, not just RPGs, which is pretty cool. My guess is that's why they changed the name.

I just picked up Feast for Crows there.
