Nice book, but a few complaints and queries:

Half Drow. Apparently errata'd as not having darkvision only LLV. Why? All half drow NPCs in rulebooks after Races of Faerun have had it, so why contradict them?

Vril. No monster statline: abilities not described, only a incomplete set for playing a vril character . VERY poor.

The book itself (as well as my copy of Expedition to the Demonweb Pits) was poorly bound, with the first pages not properly bound to the rest of them.

Drow EAT spiders?! NOT very in character with all previous books.

Eclavdra is now a 24th level character. this is a Good Thing since players with Epic book can upgrade her to take Improved Heighten Spell and actually USE the tactic described there: boosted Destruction spells. Without the feat she cannot cast 11th level heightened spell as the Epic book suggests.

This has already been explained as an error that cropped up during layout at the last minute, and--more importantly--errata has already appeared on the WotC web site. :)

I'm guessing, from personal experience, that the authors (Ari, Greg, Rob, Anthony) had no say in the choice of graphics, and were likely just as surprised as the rest of us.

I'll ask Anthony when I see him on Wednesday. I'm not sure he's even seen the book, unless everyone gets a free copy.

I looked it over at a bookstore on Saturday and was a bit disappointed. Not because of any content problems, but because Anthony playtested something on us a while ago and I'd thought it was going to be in that book but didn't find any sign of it.
