Drow question

A charisma 20+ pleasure slave in my drow campaign sold for between 150k and 250k (don't remember the exact price).

Most slaves would sell for less. Probably a figure between 100's to 1000's of gold pieces, depending on race, characteristics, and skills. Supply and Demand would be very important to price.

There was a d20 supplement that covered slave trading. Not sure I remember the name.

I wouldn't include the BAB of a fighter-type as a good thing. I was just reading through Drow of the Underdark (free copy, in my defense!), and it said that humans with fighting ability or magical ability are considered dangerous.

I think your formula of 100 gp (ability mod + skill mod) sounds pretty good, but maybe with a penalty for fighting skills/spells. Like 100 gp (ability mod+ skill mod - BAB and/or caster level).

In game, how one determines how many ranks someone has, what spells he can cast, how good he swings a sword, or how wise he is may be difficult to determine compared to how strong or healthy a slave is. Maybe you could use a special Sense Motive or Profession: Slaver check, or something like that. But you could always gloss over that part ;)

BTW, after reading that bit in DotU, I'm thinking 'pleasure' slaves wouldn't be so popular in the Underdark.

That is another great idea Profession: Slaver. I will use that. Thanks.

I also see your point on BAB. So I think I will stick with the formula of 100 gp x (ability mod + skill mod) and maybe going with + or - 10-20% depending on race.
