It isn't really what you asked for, but you might consider Fochlucan Lyrist. You can take it before you get Wildshape, still get a lot of druid spellcasting, and bard and druid fit well thematically.

Complete Adventurer. I should clarify, though: this is a multiclass bard/druid prestige class (and you need a little bit of rogue or some PrC that grants evasion). So you can take it with fewer druid levels than you need to get wildshape, but you still have to be about 10th level overall due to various requirements.
