Druid, Wild Shape, Assume Supernatural Ability feat

Draconic Wild Shape, you get the SA abilities.
Exalted Wild Shape, you get the SA abilities.

I don't plan on taking Frozen Wild Shape. I know I'm giving up the Cyrohydra.

So, what uses does Assume Supernatural Ability have with the regular Wild Shape?

Edit: And with the prereqs, you can get the feat at 1st level because of the spell Aspect of the Wolf. What level would be good to get it, if it's worth it.

well, generally speaking, there are a number of useful supernatural abilities out there. the savage species version is more clearly worded than the other version, so i'd go with that one. plus it has an improved version. note that the feat does not seem to clearly state that it must apply to the same supernatural ability each time. due to the fact that you are somehow magically or psionically assuming another form, and you can choose different forms each time, you should be able to pick which supernatural ability you are using each time you take a form with (SU) abilities.

check with your DM.

if that is allowed, then this is really useful, and even more so is the improved version, as it does not require you to pick the same (SU) as the normal version of the feat, and in fact calls out that it also works just like the normal version, only with less penalty.

to be honest, the best way to maximize this is to take a few levels of master of many forms or shapechanger in order to widen your choices.
