Druid with a Dire Ape mount?

This is possible is it not?

The party druid has a direape he wishes to use as a mount, would he need some type of exotic saddle? Or what?

Yes both an exotic saddle and a good ride skill. I believe the ride check s are normal DC's +5 for an exotic mount. Personally i would make them even higher because of the Ape gait. Not like the normal gait of a horse. Its more of a bouncing gallop, hard to hang on.

How does the Ape feel about it???

Is the Druid a human?? Is he heavy?? Can the ape carry him no problem??
