Dueling DMs!

By the way, do those campaigns also use the same characters?

Yes, myself and two others keeps our characters running in both campaings. Right now we are doing a big story arc, so it has been the same DM for the past couple of sessions. But once this is over the other DM drops out his character and the other brings in his.

If you guys are losing interest, then you should bring it up. If necessary, make them vote for the DM you will all play under, and play until that DM wants to quit. Draconian, but sometimes you gotta put your foot down. Just make it plain that this is not dissing the other DM's, but merely a plea to avoid chaos.

Oh, and no DM can vote for themselves. :)

Now I shall go on to show how the world can attain lasting peace. :)

I like to run a game for several months, then take a break, then resume, etc. Aside from one-shot games, I think it's more satisfying for a successful campaign game to go at least a few months at a time. You could either switch DMs every season/3 months (say), or perhaps better agree on "X GMs until X or the group decides to switch games". If the pressure to GM is too high, maybe multiple games do need to be running at once. There should not be more than 2 weeks between sessions in any particular campaign, IMO.

As the group's primary DM there have been times where I would have loved this problem - having to practically beg to get somebody else to DM to give me a break.

However, we did run into this problem just this last month. I had to go away on a trip unexpectedly, and was in the middle of a module, so asked another DM in the group to do a filler game or two with another group of characters. He started a module and then wanted to continue with it after I got back. So we stayed with his until last week, when he had a family obligation and could not make it to the game. So last night everyone showed up at the weekly game, not knowing which campaign we were going to play. We left it to the group as a whole, who decided to stick with mine until it is done, and then get back to his again.
