Dune?

Has anyone tried to do a d20 version of Dune? Maybe as a fan project, and can point me to a web site or two? I'm thinking of running a d20Future game in the Dune universe, and was wondering...

I include portions of Dune within my D20 Future campaign...
Haven't really gotten into the quasi-mystical properties of Melange, and the Butlerian Jihad is either ancient forgotten history, or hasn't happened, yet.
What sorts of mechanics are you looking for?

I'm just looking to see how others have done it. I'll probably let you know how my version goes when I've put enough together.

Have you built any advanced classes? What time period are you using as base?

Didn't WotC release a limited release Dune RPG? Right before 3e came out, or something? I have some recollection that WotC lost the license when they won the Star Wars license and rushed out the material they had on Dune... but maybe I ate shelfish last night and I'm having a bad reaction...

[edit]Ah, found it in a Google cache. Apparently it was a part of the Last Unicorn purchase that WotC made. Last Unicorn was publishing it, and according to the press release, in June 2000, "Also scheduled for immediate release is the Dune roleplaying game, which is already in production.

So I doubt this is at all related to D20 as it was acquired from another publisher, sorry! Thought it might have had a hint of D20 in it as it came out of WotC around 3e time.

The fans on the WOTC board thread have a large fan made free .pdf of the rules they've worked on. I looked at it for a bit but a friend of mine who is a HUGE Dune fan and gamer said WOW..this is great

My roommate got one of Last Unicorns copies of Dune RPG. It was sold for only a few hours 1 day then the liscened got pulled. I was told they were even try to get back the ones that people purchased at the con but thats just a second story. I never really looked at it cause I was never a big Dune fan.
