Dungeon #119 .. Arrived Today!

My father in law (who has a lamination machine) laminated my Dungeon 118 map and I'm quite pleased with the result. I have several sets of GH Darlene maps, but the ones that are laminated have survived the years the best!

Anyone else get this? What's the preview text for the 120 adventures?

Is there anything useful in 119 for an Eberron campaign?

That's "ENnie award winning cartographer Christopher West" according to the bio at the end of the adventure! :) It's a fun little adventure, too -- I might beef it up a bit and add it as a side trek in my AU campaign.

I noticed that it was CW, can;t wait to get my copy, I like his stuff. :)

That's "EN World Lurker" Christopher West, too. :) I hope you guys like what you see! This is my first published adventure, and I'm rather proud of it. My players seemed to enjoy it, too, but that doesn't necessarily mean the readers will. I welcome your thoughts on it!

Wow - you have an adventure in this Dungeon, Christopher?

Can't wait to see it.

I'm going to think it ironic if someone else did the maps...

Cheers!

Can't believe Dungeon #119 still isn't on the shelves of my local (an hour from home) bookstore! If I didn't have a P.O. Box I'd just get a subscription, but every magazine I order ends up mangled before I even set eyes on it. Guess I'll start calling first.

Still waiting for #117 here. Having an international subscription is pretty frustrating...

Nice to know what I can look forward to!

I bought my copy two days ago, and I'm quite happy with it. I don't have a subscription because I'm saving up for the three-year, and I have no self control and the purchasing habits of a ferret.

Ooo, shiny...

Anyway, I'm posting to express my pleasure with "Unfamiliar Ground" and perhaps ask a question of Mr. Mapmaker. Of the six skeletons, is the one with the onyx Champ? Or is Champ an apellation to be placed upon whichever skeleton strikes the DM's fancy?

To Mr. Morrow: The adventures in #119 are of excellent quality; if that does not convince you, then there is a new category of magic weapon enchantments (I'm hesitant to call it a 'quality'), a feat reproduced from 'Races of Faerun', three new magic weapons, a new type of exotic weapon that was reprinted from MMIII, a new monster (a type of swarm, actually), a new wondrous weapon, ann~d a Major Artifact of immense evil. Plus, it has a succubus in there, and that's always been a big draw for me.

To Mr. Takasi: 'Unfamiliar Ground' can work very well as an Eberron adventure. All you would really have to do is change the backstory of the goblins a little bit. 'Wrath of the Abyss' seems to be very Greyhawk-specific, and I'm not sure how to convert that stuff. And the adventure 'Tomb of Aknar Ratalla' makes a lot of assumptions based upon what looks to be regular D&D cosmology. I think you could possibly retool it to work in Eberron, but it would take some doing.

...Man, I talk too much, don't I?

Happy adventuring!
