positive....comments.....for......4E Dungeon....

I guess no one has seen the actual adventures yet.

But the cover is a good start.

Thanks Mustrum and Vagabundo!

For some reason I do find the WotC site layout very difficult to find my way around. I'm not sure why - part of my day job is coding for websites so I should have some kind of a grip of what's going on, but for what ever reason browsing the Dungeon and Dragon magazine is like trying to think with a hangover.

There have been a few threads on this topic a few month ago, including a blogger that "complained" about the site, and later (since he and others felt he came off as a little to destructive) proposed a nice alternative design.

Unfortunately, the WotC website is the compromise of several "power groups" (marketing, brand, R&D and the web designers), and possible also a "grown" structure. We can only hope that they will eventually will create a big overhault, but I wouldn't count on it. The sad truth of software development is that recreation of software might give you a better starting point for the future, but it still means you spent a long time just creating what you already have, instead of improving or expanding something existing.

Yeah, Freudian slips are hard to recover from, ain't they? :D

Now I can visualize some D&D villain in your next module who goes around burning all the bards to death in town who teach children's nursery rhymes, just to make kids cry...

...on they other hand, it would explain why there are no bards yet in 4e. They've got to train a new batch. :)

Buuuurn bardy burrrrn doot doot doooooot Dragonborn inferrrrno...

ok... yeah... lame. But now I can't stop thinking about a Dragonborn in a blue silk shirt unbuttoned to his abs with a big poofy afro and white bell bottoms...

Klaus? please? ;)

All I can say is:

I love the new-look kuo-toa (yes, I know they're in the MM but I just wanted to say it anyway) ...

and the cover art immediately made me think of Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. Since I wasn't the only one, I can only assume it was intentional ...
