Load up your rifle and enlist for Dogface, a stand-alone d20 game of World War II combat. Lead a band of troops up Omaha Beach, storm the streets of Stalingrad, or liberate a Pacific island from the clutches of the Empire of Japan. Dogface casts players in the role of infantry, allowing you a ground's eye view of the war that shaped today's world. Designed by origins Award-winner and Green Ronin publisher Chris Pramas, the game includes more than a doen new feats, rules to simulate basic training, and a modified combat system with expanded rules on cover and modern weapons.

FYI, the name of the game has changed to V for Victory. I'm kind of sad about it, as I really liked Dogface, but we found out just a few weeks ago that there was a GURPS WWII supplement coming out in February called Dogfaces. Anyhow, I'm looking forwad to the game hitting the streets at last. I started working on it over a year ago.

Dungeon 97 was said to have some material from the revisions (whatever that may be) and some monsters from Fiend Folio. So is there anything that you noticed that could be from those sources?

The Adventure Path: Shackled City module, "Life's Bazaar," has some revision content. Of course, when the adventure was written, some elements were still up in the air, but we tried to make the module as close to revision compatible as possible. I already noticed one thing that's changed since the issue was wrapped up.

It also features a few monsters from the Fiend Folio, as well as several from Monster Manual II. We'll be putting a Web enhancement for "Life's Bazaar" up at www.paizo.com in the next few days as subscribers begin to receive their copies.

Heart of the Iron God by Campbell Pentney. An ancient, massive construct has appeared in the land, destroying villages and sending people fleeing from home in a panic. For four 13th level PCs.

Hrm, that sounds suspiciously like thingy in Greyhawk... damn, I can't recall the proper name at the moment, something like the Machine of Lum the Mad or Leuk-O.
To me, it also sounds alot like the old D&D module CM4 Earthshaker by David "Zeb" Cook, for character levels 18-20. "The sun rises on a new dawn, but a shadow hangs over the land. Earthshaker, mightiest mechanical wonder of ages past, towers above the castle. It's iron grasp holds the power for great good or incalculable evil. Who will gain control of the monstrous machine, Earthshaker?" Basically it's about an ancient humanoid construct on the rampage. Perhaps Heart of the Iron God is a 3E revision?

Edit: Maybe not.
Iron God = 185' tall
Earthshaker = 1280' tall

Damn you, GUUUUURRRRPPPP!!! :mad:

Sorry, had a dramatic moment. ;)

Anyhoo ... looking forward to a semi-historical RPG. Will it contains new classes (core, advanced, prestige)? If so, what are they? Hopefully there will be new rules running a squad-level war campaign.

Dogface sounds very interesting. I'll take the Urban Combat Specialist feat please. SPR, here we come.

"With a deep bass rumble you see the tiger cresting the mound of rubble along with a swarm of supporting german infantry. What do you do"

Damn, I have to clean up my screen again ! :D Good one Thorntangle!

i'd love a mini game in poly that was kinda like twilight 2000... mayeb updated for todays situation, as opposed to a cold war one. but the WW2 game sounds like fun.

V for Victory is "semi-classless." Really, it revolves around skills and feats, but you acquire them in different ways. You pick a pre-war career, then a type of basic training (combat, intelligence, leadership or recon), and finally a specialty. Basic training is most like a class, since it controls your hit dice, BAB, saves, and so on, but all class features are handled through feats.

Should be out next week, I believe.
