Contents:

Dungeon:
Gluttony: lvls 1-5 Greyhawk Wilderness
Wings, Spikes and Teeth: lvls 6-10 Any Setting Wilderness
Flood Season: lvls 1-5 Adventure Path Dungeon

Polyhedron:
Interview: The Game Mechanics
Winter Fantasy
The Kage: Japanese NPC group for d20 Modern

Starships of the Galaxy (Star Wars)
Into the Bright Desert (Living Greyhawk)
Living Greyhawk News
Global Positioning: Municipal Police Station
Downer (4-page color comic)

Just had time to look at a few things. 'Flood Season' looks like an excellent adventure for the Cauldron Adventure Path.

Into the Bright Desert I can use; nice map, details, and some notes about adventuring in the area. Nice long article.

The Global Positioning map was very nice.

'Downer'... may take some getting used to. I found it very offputting.

Just 3 adventures? Hmm... of which two are sidetreks?

Sorry; both Gluttony and WS&T are SideTreks, probably because Flood Season is so long. It's frickin' huge; two large locations, plus overland maps and other things.

I can't say I was a big fan of the last comic in Polyhedron. I hoep this one is better.

Anyway, looking forward to it!

remembering of course that this is the new dungeon/poly, with the emphasis on poly this month. next month is more dungeon. and so on.

In fact, Dungeon #98 is a "Dungeon Heavy" issue. #99 contains roughly 60 pages of Poly stuff and roughly 40 pages of Dungeon stuff. This one is the other way around.

I just got my issue in the mail yesterday (the first one of my subscription!). :D

It's a bit on the lean side; only one adventure (and the two sidetreks); no polyhedron mini-game; living-greyhawk material moved back from Dragon; two Starwars articles (which doesn't float my boat, but I can live with)...

I'm hoping that it just takes them a few issues to get ramped up to publishing monthly, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

On the good side, the advenure-path scenario looks great (as did the first one). It's nice to see that they are beginning to flesh out the surrounding countryside around Cauldron.

As far as the new comic goes ("Downer"). The protagonist seems to be a bit of an anti-hero (a drow assasin?). It is very metagamey... the characters make references to criticals and sneak attacks. I like the art style so far, and will pretty much give it 3 issues or so before making any major judgement on it.
