[Dungeon] Contents for Issue 102 (Sept. 03)

Sure. To be fair, I wasn't saying that it was a completely bad thing that the article seemed to be mostly a recap (as I'm sure that there're plenty of people in the Dragon/Poly subscriber base that haven't kept up with the news here or on his website about AU). For me, it wasn't as useful because I've read a lot of it before. That said, you're right—it's a very clean and orderly presentation of what he's trying to do and he is clear about what he's aiming at with this project (providing an alternate PHB). AU is also at the top of my list, but it'll probably be a while before I can get my hands on it.

Best,

I agree. This was a nice touch, even if I did have a nasty time getting it out without ripping up my magazine. I think that has to do with the mailman wedging the magazine in my (very small) mailbox, though. :)

I also had a hard time taking out the Combat Matrix insert. I ended up ripping the page a little bit. Most of the time I have no problem taking them out.

The article on Arcana Unearthed was informative for anyone who hasn't visited Monte Cook's website regularly. You get a couple pieces of art that hasn't been shown before.

Iron Lords of Jupiter has some great stuff even thought this isn't my kind of genre I like to play my rpg's. This mini-game is Flash Gordon-esque. It is to be used with d20 Modern.

The Global Postioning modern map was excellent. I wish Christopher West did the cartography for all d20 products.

Peace and smiles :)

Took care of it (well, submitting it at least). I feel dirty for referring to myself in the third person, though. :p

Well, I have to say that I was surprised to see the contents of this issue. The newstand copies will have one adventure, but that one adventure is a good one. Richard Baker provides us with a standard length 32 page adventure, which makes up the Dungeon half of the magazine. I have no idea what the subscriber only adventure looks like yet. At any rate, I'm excited about this issue. I know they'll take some heat for the overall number of adventures in this issue, but I challenge the critics to keep an open mind and take a look before they pass judgment.
