We assume that most people run the adventures "out of the magazine," and hence the stat blocks are placed in running text to, believe it or not, minimize page flipping. I undertand that there's some disagreement over whether or not it works that way in practice, but that's the reasoning behind our position, in any event.

Erik, I use my Dungeon adventures in a highly modified format. For instance, I just ran "Natural Selection" (don't remember issue #) with the forest being in a land under tyranny with the rangers/fort as a rebel post, the entire "misunderstanding" being a political manuever by an advisor the "out" or weaken his lord, and all gnolls were changed to hobgoblins for setting reasons.

Obviously, there was some retooling involved, but the magazine still saved me a lot of time and effort. It would have been even easier for me if I'd been able to cut/paste the text into Word and make changes in-line.

I realize there's a boatload of copyright/piracy issues with this question, but I was wondering if Paizo is even pondering something like a PDF subscription to Dungeon? If so, is there a timeline, or is this purely embryonic? As much as I'm not really a fan of PDF sourcebooks, I think adventures are a perfect subject for electonic publishing.

We recently started selling out of print issues online as PDFs for Dragon. I assume we'll eventually be doing the same with Dungeon; we can't sell online PDF versions of either magazine as long as the issue in question is still in print.
