When you go to sign up for it on the D&D homepage, it says that WotC forum members are already D&D Insider members and therefore don't have to sign up again. However, when I try to type my username/e-mail address into the field where "Guest" is listed it overrides my entry and changes it back to "Guest" once I click elsewhere.

I ran into the same issue. Guessing it is either a "not ready for primetime issue" or a browser based one (I'm using firefox)

Scott, I noticed in the presentation video that in order to playtest for 4E you have to either sign up for D&D Insider or be an RPGA member. I want to sign up for D&D Insider (regardless of whether I playtest or not) but I don't know how to.

Am I doing something wrong or am I just a little early in trying to sign up? I'm just a little confused.

I think "Guest" is set to override everything right now. Something about keeping the servers from blowing up the West Coast. Should be back to normal next week-ish.
