Dungeon Mag's Creature "token" inserts?

I'm a big fan of Claudio's counter collections too. They're nicely done and an excellent value. As long as they keep getting published, I'll keep buying them.

I also have some from Dragonscale Counters, and of course the ones that come with Dungeon. But I like Claudio's artwork the best.

Will you be at GenCon?

Hi Klaus,

I, too, am fan of your artwork. I've got both counter collections, and haven't yet had trouble picking a counter to represent any of my characters or important NPCs.

Are you guys going to be at GenCon this year? This is my second time going, and I normally like to travel light, but I'd bring my covers for you to sign if you're going to be there.

Counter Pack/Collection Info

If I remember correctly the Counter Packs are smaller and more focused than the Countery Collections. Although I could be wrong.

Hi Psychotic Dreamer.

You are, in fact, 100% correct.

We introduced some new terminology to distinguish between the full-sized (8.5" x 11") "Collections" and the compact (4.25" x 11") "Packs".

So far, we've released:

Counter Collection I: The Usual Suspects, which contains all of your favorite beasties en masse. Lots of orcs, goblins, kobolds, etc.

Counter Collection II: More Characters, Creatures, and Monsters, which had a wide assortment of PC Counters, as well as LOTS more of everything.

Counter Pack 1: Demons & Devils - this had all of the "core" evil outsiders from the Monster Manual, plus lots from Green Ronin's excellent Legions of Hell and Armies of the Abyss. Great stuff!

Counter Pack 2: Tribes, Clans & Cults. This pack featured organizations, including a Himrak Orc strikeforce, a demon cult, a thieve's guild, a group of knights, goblin worgriders, hobgoblion legionnaires, vampire rangers, and lots more (Plus a counter set for the FDP adventure BEYOND ALL REASON).

*ALSO* Counter Pack 2, since it features groups of adversaries, also features Group Combat Feats designed by Mark Clover of Creative Mountain Games

Counter Pack 1&2 are shipping to distributors in the next few weeks, and will be available for sale at our GenCon booth!

Speaking of GenCon, we'll also have a "special" con-only pack available: Dragons!, which features various sized counters for your favourite foes!

Counter Pack 3 will be released late August/early September and will feature all of the things that go *bump* in the dark.

After that, we're back on track with Counter Collection III: MODERN , which will be coming out in November, alongside WotC's d20 Modern rules. Look for some exciting cross-company work on this one (pending many conversations at GenCon, of course!)

Orange_Month, we will have a booth at GenCon (across from our friends at the Sword & Sorcery booth), and Claudio will be making the trip this year. So, please, bring by anything you'd like signed, and also check out his original artwork, which will be on sale at our booth!

- Fiery Jason

Henry, Buttercup, Orange_Month: Thanks for the kind words. Indeed, I'll be attending GenCon this year, so bring up anything you want signed, and take the opportunity to buy the new Counter Packs! And possibly the original artwork for your favorite counter/cover! ;)

A note to Meepo: since you sound really into kobolds, let me tell you: Counter Pack 2 has three really KICk-ArSe kobolds, emissaries of their dragon lord to the Hogoblin Legion. Ever though a kobold could scare your players? Bet on the Shadowfang, the kobold assassin wielding dual kukris! Or the Drake Knight, decked in half-plate armor that truns him into a mini-juggernaut. Both of these kobolds have some sorceror levels, but the real threat is the Emissary, with LOTS of sorcery under her belt!

Kobolds RULE!

(at least they will after their plans have come to pass!)

Oops, did I say too much? :D

Thanks, FDP-people! Having some of my OGC along side Claudio's excellent artwork and in an FDP product is a big thrill for me! :)

I'll add another love note for FDP and Klaus. After my wife and children my affection is for my counter collections. With a two-year-old and a two-month-old in the house I have zero time for all the work that comes with figures. That 400 counters cost about the same as four (plastic) minis counts as a mega-plus as well.

Sorry for the gush folks, I do try to be reserved in general. :D

Ha! That made me laugh, because I also have a two-year old, and she's taken to using my dragon counters as "dollars" for her pretend store.

Good timing on that Dragon pack, Jason, I'll be sure to restock my dragon supply at GenCon this year. (I may have to get 2, just to share!) :)

Congrats Mark...

Knew you were on to something good with the Group Combat Feats when you allowed me to give the pre-release a good read through.

Glad to see it will make it into print with FDP.

Later!
