Dungeon Master = Yoda ?

I never really considered the similarities. There was a big difference in that DM never really interfered in anything. At least in the Star Wars movies, Yoda did stuff (granted, more stuff in Ep. 1 & 2, but still..).

Although, I do recall an episode where DM unleashed a lot of power on (Was it Tiamat??) and felt his wrath known.

Looking back on it now, was this a clear example of railroading?? Or, at least deux ex machina?

Wow I've never noticed before. What does that say about the D&D Cartoon artists? They are either uncreative or really like Star Wars

Fans of the Dungeon Master will be happy to know he's found the occassional job in cameo as "Dee Em" in Gold Digger comics. Of course, it's a big change for him. From kids barely hitting puberty to seven-foot tall buxom werecats... His cameo coworker, Bugenhagen (calling himself Bugie, as in, Bugie Down) , only says "HoHoHo!" when asked about what goes on behind the scenes.

Does anyone remember the D&D cartoon back in the '80s? In it, the kids would always stumble upon Dungeon Master who would procede to give them cryptic advice.

I was thinking about this the other day and is Dungeon Master nothing more than a Yoda ripoff?

I managed to catch up to Yoda at his home in Key West and asked him directly.

"Hard to find, work was, after Empire Strikes Back" he reminisced, while casually levitating a pitcher of iced tea. "More tea you would like? Yes? Hmm! Yeeess..!"

I thanked him for the tea and Yoda continued to talking about how things were back in the 80s.

"Found some work, Yoda later did, as Chaka, in the land of the Lost. The costume! Yoda did not like so much. Yeess.. Hmm...! And of course some commercials. Also, Sleestaks, so much more popular were."

Hah! Didn't you realize that Yoda was actually Miss Piggy in a Hallowe'en mask?
