I didn't use it but I might have, if I'd known anything about it. I just used notebook paper to track what went on during the game.

It has a very cool cover.

Never used it, largely because by the time I found out it existed I'd already come up with my own format for record-keeping which served (and still serves) pretty much the same purpose.

I use 8.5" x 14" fanfold computer printer paper (old-school stuff but wonderful for this use if you can ever find any) on which I take scratch notes during the session mostly concerned with:
- party roster changes e.g. joins, retires, deaths, raises, etc.,
- treasure items found/lost/used/blown up,
- a chart of who got in on what encounters for later ExP calculation,
- what those encounters were with,
- where the party went, if they're on the move,
- the game and real dates,
- the session number,
- and some very brief notes on what happened.

Later, much of this gets expanded on a bit when I do up the online game log so people can remind themselves for next session what went on in the last one.

I loved my DM Log back in the day, and will certainly continue to use it when I begin to DM again---which will be sometime in the next few months, I think (I'll be putting some expert players through their paces in S4 Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth---a module none of them have ever played before! :D ).
