Raise the price, replace the poly with another adventure, and you'll see a very happy, very loyal customer.

And you'll see one other customer -- ME -- stop buying. As far as I'm concerned, the non-Poly parts of Dungeon might as well be blank paper. The only reason I buy it is for the D20 minigames.

I like both parts - but please no more Thunderball Rally or stuff like that. Spelljammer and Omega World are fine and that is the stuff I want to see in Poly.

"Stop that Monkey!" is an expansion to Thunderball Rally, and features rules for creating and running orangutan characters (!).

At last! d20 Every Which Way But Loose!

Thunderball Rally was a refreshing change of pace.

Aw, c'mon, how many scifi or fantasy worlds and games do we need? Let's break up the monotony!

I seem to be in a disagreeable mood today. The more outre the subject, the more I'm inclined to enjoy it as a Poly Minigame. Let's show what D20 can do! Stick it to everyone who says "Well, it's OK for, you know, cinematic stuff, but it can't do MY favorite genre, which is Hepburn/Tracy romantic comedies crossed with 1930s Universal Studios horror films."

Plus to me every mini game is a little sneak peek into whatever is going on in R&D at the moment. We're seeing, I think, a lot of things to come in D20 Modern right now.

I think that a Dungeon + LGJ and Dragon + Polyhedron combination would mix audiences a bit less. I wonder if the new publisher will consider it.

Then again, maybe that's why they do it - in hopes you'll buy both.

I enjoy both, though I wished they didn't have to raise the price of the magazine by 33%. Fortunately it's only bimonthly so there's less of a sting.
