[Dungeon] Subscription Issues

Yeah, that's how it's worked for years, AFAIK. When I subscribed in '99, I didn't get my first issue for about 3 months.

However, I got a renewal notice in the mail. It said if I responded I wouldn't miss any issues. I sent it back with consent to charge it to my credit card. My statement last month says the card has been charged, but the lastissue I saw was 304 in Jan. (end of my old sub). I'm thinking I better give them a call (email is not a good way to do this, IMO).

robaustin, I emailed Pierce Watson as you suggested, and he's got everything straightened out for me. Turns out that after I changed my address at the end of December, Canada Post told the fulfilment house that my old address was right and they changed it back (don't know why CP would do that). They never had a Dungeon on file for me at all, but I'll be getting 307 and 98 just after everyone else does, so I'm happy again. Obviously, the upper levels of Paizo are more helpful and capable than the fulfillment house and the (I suspect) outsourced customer service call centre staff.

Yes, the Dragon management has been extremely helpful. I don't want them to be swamped, but then again, if folks start emailing them directly about these issues, maybe they'll be inclined to put more pressure on the fulfillment company to work a bit harder at resolving these issues.

I'd say 12 weeks is about right for a gift sub - which I think is way too long. I got my gift sub in December, and it wasn't started until issue 306 is March. Not only did I not get started till then - but they actually billed me for my subscription even though it was a gift. Pierce was extremely helpful.

I hope they get their problems worked out.

Well, per the request of Michelle (Dungeon@pcspublink.com), I faxed her various information, but have not, as yet, heard anything back. I have sent Pierre a message, in the hopes that he can jumpstart the process.

I will not renew my Dragon subscription until I can get this resolved, so I help one of them can help. :(

Just wanted to drop in a quick Mea Culpa to Johnny Wilson, and point out that Johnny sent me an e-mail right-quick on 3/28, but due to some issues with my home e-mail, I didn't see it until last night. I humbly thank JW for his swift reply. In the meantime, Pierre is helping me get my accounts back on track, and revealed to me that my Dragon subscription has just run out (which I was glad to find out, as I thought I had another month). Now we just have to work out the arrangements, what with the differing price structures, and all.

I'll keep you all posted.
