Dungeon Tiles Master Set - The Wilderness

I got a copy of DTMS: The Wilderness today and here is my early report.

6 sheets are are reprints of DT4 - Ruins of the Wild. There are some minor fixes with the addition of difficult terrain triangles on some of the tiles (these are appropriate).

4 sheets are new.

Sheet 6A/B - Mostly flat boulders that can be walked on and water tiles (ponds and small lake). There is also a 2x2 compass tile.

Sheet 7A/B - More raised flat rocks of various sizes, trees, burning trees and some ponds.

Sheet 8A/B - Bridge over water, one more flat rock/pond tile and small cliff.

Sheet 9A/B - Tree/Burning Tree, small cliffs, raised flat rocks, pond, fallen burnt tree trunks.

All in all, I am happy with the set.

It is especially awesome for folks that missed getting DT4 the first time (I have two sets and they fit in the box when you take out the cardboard insert).

I like the addition of some wilderness water options. The rocks were similar to the ones in the Dark Sun set.

I mixed feelings about the burning tree tiles. They are gorgeous, but they have limited utility.

Having some trees that can be placed where ever is great.

Thanks,
