Unsurprisingly, reception of 4E appears to be based on the gaming history and art influences of the audience. So, just to get a crude idea of who's where and why, please tick a box.
I'm not a demographer, so you needn't point out the faults in the poll.
You forgot OD&D, BX and BECMI, but since 4th edition is is the 4th edition of AD&D, I voted 1E (which I started playing a few years after BECMI, and about a year before discovering 2E).
My only concern with this poll is that "like the looks of 4E" could mean in general or with respect to 3E. I'm not all that excited by 4E, but I think it looks a little better than 3E so I went with the positive answer.
And Gleemax, sure.
Not so much at Paizo or Rpgnet.
People here seem to be unabashedly Pro4E. There's nothing wrong with that. Even though I dont plan on going over to 4E I still pop in here to find out what's new with 4E.
But, yeah people here seem to be just wetting themselves with glee and anticipation over 4E.
