Arcana Unleashed

Dungeons & Dragons Announces Arcana Unleashed, New Magic-Themed Sourcebook at $49.99 Price Point

Am I wrong or do I feel every time they post a picture of Alustriel Silverhand they make her skin darker?

Which is weird because she has the same mother and father as her sisters, who are all significantly paler than her (aside from the shenanigans with the Drow sister).

Mod edit: language

Here is a dark possibility based on lore. Her original body got destroyed and her weave ghost did not have enough time to make a new one, so she she stole the body of a black woman, perhaps a wizard of Thay, and is now wearing her body as a skin suit.

Anyways I'm surprised no one is asking what are the connection between Arcana Unleashed and Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall?

Like the organization's mentioned in Backgrounds, could they be in Deadfall? Could these be Wizard orders opposing something the Red Wizards are up too?

You... you realize how that's worse right?

That's like... literally objectifying a black woman and enslaving her.

There is massive and continuous evidence from 1973 on that the game is aimed at 12 year olds: Gygax said so in the early drafts of the game, it ha been the consisteny policy of WotC. These new books are aimed at teenagers who bought books in the last two years, not older people. Those are nice-to-haves.
And yet a lot of those 12-year-olds grew up to be older people who still loved playing D&D and played it every chance they got. We were all 12 years old once upon a time.

Sure, but that is not the engine of the game, nor whom WotC makes books for. The target audience is teens, who at this point are likely to not own a book with a Necromancer in it.

Her skin color is largerly incosistent between even the old art.

Anyway, I wonder if either Tattooed or Mystic Arts Monk will be in those because they better be fixed from how awful the UA's were, between Tattooed Monk's underpowered features and Mystic Arc having features that do nothing.
