It's pretty common with iguana if we get a big cold snap like this year. there were so many dead iguana that the dog stopped even being curious enough to do more than even glance at it without breaking stride after the first week. Super invasive zombie iguana are so very much more Ravenloft fitting that cutsie flying elephants and sugar gliders

If I'm going to make Florida into more of a Domain of Dread, I think I'll go with the crocs in every puddle of water.

I wonder if Arcana Unleashed will have other references to the Forgotten Realms, we kno2 its companion book has some kind of Gazeteer on Thay and it has a FR wizard on its cover (actually it appears to have a small red wizard on the cover as well and a tressym as well).

Wouldn't surprise me if it does a deeper dive on the Arcane Empires.

Oh no. Florida waters absolutely have straight up domain of dread level horrors that would fit right into old-school Ravenloft. Stuff like flesh eating bacteria brain eating amoeba and chain link fence alligator gar are just the start. Florida also has gators plus crocodiles caiman monitor lizard and python problems. Wotc would need to step this up from Vrgtr would need to step up just to reach average Tuesday

Much as I hate to bring this thread back on topic*, it seems to me that this is a slimmer book that might contain as many as 11 subclasses. I’m not sure all that crunch will leave much space for setting-specific lore. The new factions appear to be multiversal.

Replacing enough of the right spells does the job of going a long way. Even moreso if the spells chapter includes useful mechanical hooks to build off in other books and settings.

Edit: even an optional sidebar for vancian prep would be a huge bit of structural gm support, especially if it included a rollback to the old spell slot scaling rates for wiz sorc cleric & warlock.
