Except that his poll has no units, so the percentage is useless, at least yours is based on something quantifiable, game time.
Well, as long as folks are still having fun, who am I to argue?

(As for the usefulness of my survey, I'll just say this: all polls on an Internet forum are equally useful. ;) .)

Maybe we need a poll to find out what % of players are left brain vs right brain dominant.
I'd think it's fair to say older players tend to like more combat, and younger players tend to like less combat.

And while I can already hear the name calling and flaming, I think it's also reasonable to say that male players tend to prefer more combat, and female players tend to prefer less. (on average).

That being said, there is a 60+ male player in my group who is Mr. RP...

I need multiple votes because the campaigns I play are wildly different. The most extreme ones: One is nearly all combat, while the other can have multiple sessions without a fight.

Worse IMO. His is about "whatever" you want: page count, game time, rule use, or whatever.
The percentage should be on either rule use or page count. When players are just role -playing, they're not really playing any particular game. Go an entire session without using rules, and it doesn't matter what RPG you're (not) using.

Morrus's polls aren't usually trying to achieve some kind of scientific answer about anything. He's usually trying to start a conversation on a topic, and his polls tend to be quite good conversation starters.
