Dwarf Clanhold adventures?

My PCs are looking to snatch an artifact from a dwarven queen who's keeping court in a dwarven city that is massing for an upcoming war. I simply don't have the time to detail such a complex locale so I'm hoping to use a Dungeon magazine adventure or published module for 15th to 16th level PCs that features a detailed dwarven clanhold as the main backdrop.

It seems I can't turn around without bumping into a drow city adventure, why no love for dwarves; the true masters of the underground? Suggestions would be appreciated. :heh:

I haven't read the whole path. Are you refering to the Malachite hold? IIRC it doesn't have any dwarves remaining in it and the scenario is intended for first level PCs... :\

If there's some other dwarven clanhold in the adventure path could you tell me something about it please?

yeah i was/am referring to the Malachite Hold. It might not have dwarves but it is dwarven built.

Just because the scenerio is intended for such PCs doesn't mean you can ramp it up some how for your own benefit.

Conversions aren't that tricky in my experience. If it's a good adventure for high level adventurers then perhaps I can find a copy and work out the changes myself. So what level was it intended for?

If I recall correctly Am, 12th back in 2nd edition. No idea how much of a power curve that translates into for 3rd edition.

Coln,

Just wondering if maybe he couldn't just use the map maybe. I mean that's all he really needs right?

True. The maps are available on WotC's Map of the Week feature, by the way. The first four maps on this page are from AotDL, as I recall:

Other good dwarven adventures that would require some work to convert would be the old Moria sourcebook for MERP, which is tough to find, or the Moria boxed set for Decipher's Lord of the Rings RPG. The latter has some good maps and is modular, so you can pretty much lay it out however you want. There really isn't a lot of crunch in the book, so it shouldn't be tough to use with D&D, as long as you have a lot of dwarf stats.
