Dwarven Forge Products

Has anyone out there used any Dwarven Forge products and can give me some feed-back about them. I can't find them in any stores around here, so I'm thinking about ordering something online.

My DM, Tom Cashel, just bought a ton o' DF stuff... they totally rock!!! My heart skips a beat every time he whips out some new attachment.

DF has ruined D&D for me as I can now never go back. So unless you intend to use it each and every time you play, be very very wary.

Actually I intend to use holographical projections for all my scenery but damnit no one will invent them. I've tried it just never works....hehehe.

Thanks that pretty much makes up my mind, I'll probable order some tomorrow.

I have a fair amount of DF, and it is super cool. The main problem is that it is very difficult to replicate published dungeons with the stuff. I sent them an email, and they said they are coming up with a program or something like that to help you design DF compatible layouts. I won't buy any more until I get that, though I will buy more then.

I thought that their biggest lack is from the fact that they don't have any double sided walls. I mean walls that have floor tiles on either side. That way they could be used to make up the interior walls of structures like castles and towers and stuff. That would probably save tabletop space as well. But that's only from what I've seen from the web-page. And it's possible I've missed somehting.

No, they do not have a piece as you describe. It winds up making things get off by a half-inch, and can be frustrating. I'm sure you'll work it out, though.

Will speaks true, Hirst Arts products really rock, you can build absolutly wonderful dungeons and buildings for a few bucks (plaster of Paris is really cheap!). Try it, you will thank me (Will already does it...).

Make your own of course assumes you have the time and inclination to do so. The DF stuff is very durable, while plaster of paris is notoriously brittle. How often do you want to make replacement pieces. You'll be making and painting a hundred pieces...

If you mix a bit of stone grey acrylic paint with the water and the plaster of Paris, you have a highly resistant block, and no paint is needed...
