I just bought Elements of Magic. Thinking about Crimson Contracts too, although - for better or worse - I do have the Green Ronin assassins book.

I don't know how to say this without sounding arrogant, but there are several people who found Crimson Contracts to be the best assassin book out there.

Why, did you write it? I'm definitely thinking about it, since it's only $5. Anyhow, yes, I know it's gotten really good reviews.

The situation in my campaign is somewhat complicated by the fact that one of the players is[/i] a 2nd level GR assassin, so if I switched to CC which doesn't (I believe) have a core assassin class, I'd have to tell him to change his character to a rogue. I don't think he'd like that much.

There isn't a core assassin class in CC, you can use it linked with the class from the Green Ronin assassin book, just using the additional prestige classes and poisons, organizations and so on.
