E-publishing booth at Gen Con/distribute PDFs on CD

This was an idea that occured to me. I've never been to a con before so I don't know if this is feasible, but has anybody considered making an 'e-publishing' booth at Gen Con or a similar venue that would be devoted to giving those who have never/almost never tried a PDF product for whatever reason? You could distribute PDFs on CD, or make them available in hardcopy, or have a couple of computer booths where people could view some PDFs, etc.

It seems to me that at lot of Con visitors still have very limited exposure to PDFs, for a lot of reasons (including that many people have difficulty downloading them), and there might be potential to attract new customers.

I've done something simular in the last 3 GenCon's and the last Origins. We handed out 1500 demo CDs.

But alas, it's not really worth my time/bother to do it anymore. We got very little response from all this effort. Very very few sales on the spot. Etc. Just doesn't pay.

Now if you people want to team up with the people over at the Forge or have a group booth I still think that would help the industry. Exposure helps.

But with my limited schedule these days (new child, new store, several online stores, etc) I just don't have time.
