E-Tools Users

First Post
I have been using E-Tools extensivly over the last couple of months and I have found certain limitations and other things that are just plain unobvious.

I would like to make a fan-based User's Manual to this tool as I feel it has great power and potential but that tapping this power and potential is very difficult.

WE CAN MAKE IT EASIER!!!!

The manual sections will basically fall into one of three catagories.

1) Explaining functionality - This section is pretty self explainatory. It will include step by step instructions to tap the power of e-tools. In other words this will be stuff that should have been in the original manual.

2) Customization - This will include things like how to create XSL files. Possibly exploitations of functionality. Like function is intended to accomplish result b but when you use it in this manor it can be used to generate result c.

3) Advanced Customization - This will include things like how to put a PrC directly into the database using MS Access.

If anyone is interested please post. I would like to do this as a project and release the final document as a pdf.

A better long-term solution would just be to keep feeding the problems to WotC as you find them so they can (hopefully) get fixed.

FYI - My ET Helper program will let you edit classes easier than with Access, and I still have a number of additional editors on my todo list as soon as I can get around to them.

WOTC should really be paying you, your work has saved e-tools from being next to useless.

I agree with jdavis 100%. I would have tossed the tool almost certainly if not for all the user created add-ins Davin has made possible. Thank you.
