Easily print scaled maps?

I use PosterRazor. You need to know how large it should be at the end, but it works well and lets you print it out on a regular printer.
Great bit of software, really user-friendly. Scaling is pretty easy on gridded maps, simply by setting the units to inches and counting the squares in the image.

The only way it could be improved would be if you were able to select which of the tiles to render, rather than having to avoid printing dead space on the map.

Thanks for the great suggestion...seems to be exactly what Im looking for. How do you arrive at the right scale...trial and error or is there a WOTC standard that seems to work for you?

The way I do it is to first crop the edges of the map so that it only contains whole squares.

Then just count the squares across and down, and this is the print size you need, in inches.

Campaign Cartographer 2 prints to scale. For maps I don't make I just import the bitmap, measure a square and then resize according to a little simple math I'm not sure if it's easier or harder with more recent versions of CC.
