D&D 4E Easy way to see updated 4E blogs on Gleemax?

Many of the bloggers had said they would be glad when they finally went to the Gleemax blog format because it was much better. I think they were delusional (from a reader's standpoint).

I think the writers know what a mess it is. I've read a couple of their blogs which noted that Gleemax had eaten their previous posting attempts.

Is it wrong that I took some small joy in knowing this beast also bites its handlers?

Gleemax is a disaster.
No kidding.

What kills me that they're trying to reinvent the wheel. This is a solved problem. Either get the designers some free blogger.com accounts (if it's good enough for a $180 billion dollar company, it's good enough for WotC) or host a wordpress blog. Sheesh.

Good news: I'm not a (complete) idiot.

Bad news: The new format is horrible.

How hard would it be to have a list of bloggers' names (which they do) and updates (which they don't) on one page? Including, of course, a historical list of updates.

Poor form, Wizards. Poor form.

W.P.

I used to check the blogs every day for tidbits, but have not read them since they migrated to Gleemax.
Almost the same here. Previously, I've checked every day, now I only look there occasionally (~once a week) and get the interesting tidbits from ENWorld, which is a shame, because I was interested in the designers' non-4E stuff. But I simply don't have the drive to navigate through that mess.

And I'm young (20), I should be in their target group of hip internet-kids, no? I don't really know, what they expect - who really has the patience for something that... ludicrously confuzzling?

But this thread makes me happy: It proves to me, that I'm not the only one, who cannot grok the navigation!

Cheers, LT.

IMHO the potential for the G-site is very high. But would someone please take charge of it... please?!

From its initial launch, to the pathetic functionality we are seeing these days, for every good idea WotC comes up with, they find a way to foul something up by either alienating part of the gamer base they are trying to attract or by proving that they have no idea how to set up & manage something as basic as a set of forums with some blogging functionality attached to it.

Admittedly, I'm amazed at how *poorly* gleemax works: I mean, most of the widely used blog & bulletin board software is pretty lame by my standards[1]--but virtually all of them are better than Gleemax!

A quick list of Gleemax's failings:
- Terrible Color Scheme
- Terrible Font Size defaults
- Near-total lack of obvious navigation
- Nothing that indicates 'where' you are in Gleemax
- Login problems (big and small)
- World's dumbest search engine
- No easy bookmarking scheme
- No grouping of content (like, all designer's blogs...)
- No new-post tracking
- No RSS to cover for the last 3 flaws

In short, Gleemax is awful!
