eBay Question

So I'm ebaying off a no reserve item on e-Bay. One bidder, with good history, sends me a private email asking what price I'd take now for it and to report the item as broken to cancel the auction. I decline that. He then retracts bids twice in the last three hours of the auction.

Seems like he's playing games so I went ahead and banned him from the auction. That reasonable?

Reasonable and I would forward his e-mail to Ebay as well...

Ebay will police it if they are told about it. Fowarding his e-mail certainly does that.

Completely reasonable. Sounds like something they really really want, and when you didn't follow thier plan they reverted to adolescent behavior. FWIW what they proposed is also against Ebay TOS, though it happens all the time and isn't policed I don't believe.

I don't EBay all that much, but I am surprised you are allowed to retract a bid... Seems kind of unfair.

Plus, isn't EBay removing the option to leave negative feedback?
