Another vote for Breland here. My group started in Sharn and it's sort of their "base." However, they've spent more time on a small island between Khorvaire and Xen'drik...

The next adventure will take place fully within Breland, but I definitely have plans for future adventures to take place elsewhere. Including at least one trip to Frostfell.

So far I've only run the Forgotten Forge and Shadows of the Last War, which means they've been adventuring in Breland (Sharn), Darguun and the Mournlands. I have some vague campaign plans that will have them running all over the place, but probably using Sharn as their home base.

My vote is "all of them."

Right now, there's not a lot of material that fleshes out each area beyond broad-stroke overviews. To counter this, my game is set in a more world-spanning milieu, where the PC's have to go to various locales to suss out the overarching evil that they face. The PC's are based in Sharn, but have thus far visited UnderSharn, Zilargo, Darguun, crossed Breland via Lightning Rail, and Aundair. Even now, they plan to travel the Eldeen Reaches.

My hope is to see, if we run another Eberron game sometime, is which regions' flavor appeal to me to develop more fully. It'd definitely be interesting to run a Darguun campaign with non-goblinoids. :)

Like some others, I voted Breland because it's a convenient central location to travel to other places, not because it's the ideal location to focus on in and off itself.

I really like Xen'drik from what few details exist so far, and I'm intrigued to see if further development makes it more interesting or just less mysterious.

You left out one...

Karrnath is a very interesting place to campaign. I won't spoil one of the campaign secrets by posting it here, but the conflict between the royalty of Karrnath and the Order of the Emerald Claw and Blood of Vol makes for great political story as well as conflict with many forms of Undead. Libris Mortis is great for creating intersting allies of the Blood of Vol.. and Karrnath is full of great potential.

Now I feel like a bit of a conformist for choosing Breland for the center of my upcoming campaign (see the sig and join up!).

But it's got a great setting for political intrigue that can easily draw in lots of adventures in the rest of the continent. Not to give away some plot spoilers, but I've got a few adventure ideas for Aundair, Karrnath, and Droaam right off the top of my head.

Xendrick doesn't really appeal to me though. I've never been a big fan of the "ancients were wiser/more powerful than us" meme in most fantasy games and Xendrick relies a little heavily on that.

So to plug my game again, if any of you Eberron fans live anywhere near to the Delaware Water Gap, help a new arrival out and join my game.

Ummm... I didn't leave that one off. Look again. Although reading over your post, it looks like you only said that in the post title, not the body.

I voted for Breland simply because Sharn is our "base of operations." But I have taken the party to Darguun and the Mournland. Next session, if they take the bait of course, they're heading to Xen'drik.

Aundair, Sweet Aundair

Yes, it's true, I am a Aundair fanatic. Started my campaign just over a month ago there. It's got just about everything I could want... political intrigue (a Queen with several children/siblings... one of which wants to take power), bordered by a nation served by the undead (Karrnath), A nation that is dominated by religious fanaticism (Thrane), and a truly cosmopolitan neighbor (Breland), and a splitoff from the country full of forest folk and Shifters (Eldeen Reaches). Within the nation itself, you have the wizards of the Arcanix and the secrets of the Whispering Rock (a bound Rakshaha Lord in my campaign). Lots of fun and excitement to be had in Aundair.

I have a hard time with this too, since I really like most places in Eberron. A campaign centered in the Demon Wastes would certainly be interesting, or Q'Barra, or the Shadow Marches... but I probably gotta say Breland too since it's got Sharn, and with Sharn: City of Towers coming out soon adventuring there should hopefully be even more awesome.

(Also, The Shadow Marches isn't on the list either.)
